- The Unit has to adopt a nearby village/slum to undertake NSS regular activities as well as Special Camping Programme.
- The unit has to interpret the scheme to the students / volunteers and other members of the collegecommunity and create awareness about the NSS Programmes.
- Theunit has to provide information about NSS motto aims and objectives, philosophy and activities.
- Theunit has to enlist cooperation and coordination of community, agencies, government departmentsand non-governmental agencies.
- The unit has to select or adopt the village/slum for service projects on the basis of utility and feasibility.
